To play Diablo 2 Classic, you just need to install Diablo 2 Classic

 

To play Diablo 2 Expansion (Lord of Destruction), you need to install Diablo 2 Classic, and then Diablo 2 Expansion

 

 

If you just want to play Diablo 2 Classic, Diablo 2 CD Key (Classic Only) alone will work.

 

If you want to play Diablo 2 Expansion (Lord of Destruction), then you need Diablo 2 CD KEY Set (Classic + Expansion)

 

NOte: You won't be able to play Diablo 2 Expansion (Lord of Destruction) with just Diablo 2 CD KEY (Expansion only) 

 

 

Non-USA version cdkeys:

 

Non-USA version cdkeys are NOT from US sources and have already been registered under the name of one of Blizzard's Asian distributors. So you can NOT register this kind of CD-key(s) on the official battle.net website (http://us.battle.net). However, if you don't care about the registration of the cdkeys, you are still able to play the game on any online server (US East, US West, Europe, Asia) with this kind of cdkeys without any problem at all.

 

The cdkey is 16 digit (sample: R8DW-7FKM-F268-GTHM) and it can NOT be converted to 26 digit cdkeys.

 

 

(a) The cdkey does NOT work with the game client downloaded from official battle.net website (http://us.battle.net) because the downloaded game client asks for 26 digit cdkeys instead of 16 digit cd keys. 

 

(b) The cdkey does NOT work with the CD being sold currently at Best Buy, Walmart etc. because the CD asks for 26 digit cdkeys instead of 16 digit cd keys.

 

(c) The cdkey DOES work with the CD sold several years ago at Best Buy, Walmart etc. because the CD asks for 16 digit cdkeys.

 

 

USA version cdkeys:

 

If you need cdkey(s) that can be registered on official battle.net website (http://us.battle.net), you may consider purchasing the USA version cdkey(s) listed on our website.

 

 

The cdkey is 16 digit (sample: R8DW-7FKM-F268-GTHM) and it can be converted to 26 digit cdkeys (sample: TJND8EB2JMDG4KRUYZEXIT65H4) by registering it on official battle.net website (please follow the instructions below)

 

(a) The cdkey DOES work with the game client downloaded from official battle.net website (http://us.battle.net) after it has been converted to 26 digit cdkeys because the downloaded game client asks for 26 digit cdkeys instead of 16 digit cdkeys. 

 

(b) The cdkey DOES work with the CD being sold currently at Best Buy, Walmart etc. after it has been converted to 26 digit cdkeys  because the CD asks for 26 digit cdkeys instead of 16 digit cdkeys.

 

(c) The cdkey DOES work with the CD sold several years ago at Best Buy, Walmart etc.. No matter you convert it to 26 digit cdkeys or not, you still use the 16 digit cdkeys to install the game because the CD asks for 16 digit cdkeys only.

 

 

(4) How to install the game?

 

To install the game with Non-USA version cdkeys:

 

(1) Insert the CD you purchased from Bestbuy or Walmart etc. several years ago into your CD/DVD drive and install the game with the 16 digit cdkeys you received from us.

 

(2) Enjoy the game play.

 

To install the game with USA version cdkeys:

 

(1) Go to http://us.battle.net to register the cdkey (Create an account, Log in, Click "Account", Click "Add a Game", then enter Game Key), the 16 digit cdkey you purchased will be automatically converted to 26 digit cdkey. And you will be provided a link to download the game.

 

(2a) If you don't have any CD, just download the game and install the game with the converted 26 digit cdkey (NOT the original 16 digit cdkey).

 

(2b) If you have the CD purchased from Best Buy, Walmart etc recently, you may install the game with the CD and the converted 26 digit cdkey (NOT the original 16 digit cdkey).

 

(2c) If you have the CD purchased from Best Buy, Walmart etc several years ago, you may install the game with the CD and the original 16 digit cdkey (NOT the converted 26 digit cdkey).

 

(3) Enjoy the game play.

 

 

It depends. But Most of these errors result from the mis-input of the cdkeys, like the accidental inclusion of the hyphen "-" or white space. (Our suggestion: copy and paste cd keys carefully. If it still does not work, try manually type in the cd keys)

 

If you install the game with the CD purchased from Bestbuy or Walmart several years ago, please make sure that you use 16 digit cd keys only.
