The most common bases to make Grief runeword are Phase Blade and Berserker Axe.

The advantages of Phase Blade are: Indestructible, Very fast attack speed, Good looking. But its attack range is only 2, a little shorter than Berserker Axe.

The advantages of Berserker Axe are: Relatively fast attack speed, high damage and attack range is 3.

Colossus Blade is also a good candidate for Grief. The advantages are: High damage, attack range is 3. But it's slower.
